Senior Unreal Developer

We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Unreal Developer to play a key role in shaping our multiplayer gaming features.

Team size and structure?

on ours there is one Unreal developer, on theirs — PM, Unreal team led, 3dsmen, designers, QA.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Take ownership over existing gameplay systems, be ready to start an ownership over the new ones. Be ready to iterate on provided feedback;

• Fix bugs in every area of the game;

• Write high quality scalable code, which is easy to support and extend if needed;

• Provide your expertise in improving existing gameplay systems and support fellow programmers;

• Communicate proactively your ideas with the rest of the team;

• Identify and mitigate technical risks during development;

• Collaborate with design and art teams for innovative game features;

• Lead prototyping efforts, iterating based on feedback and feasibility;

• Develop complex gameplay and animation mechanics using C++ and advanced Blueprinting;

• Drive the development of multiplayer features, starting with a simple version for up to 4 players via the Steam client;

• Expand multiplayer capabilities, such as collaborative gameplay, scaling from 4 to 8 players, and exploring dedicated server options

✔️ Bonus Skills:

• Experience with game saves and artificial intelligence in games is a plus;

• UI, experience with common UI/view models is a plus;

• Experience with refactoring big systems is a big plus.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• Strong C++(5+ years), Unreal Engine 4/5;

• Experience with complex gameplay systems within multiplayer games

• Preferably general experience with developing multiplayer games

• Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in advanced Blueprinting;

• Prior experience with double-A or possibly triple-A games;

• Gameplay Ability System;

• Familiarity with performance analysis and code optimization;

• Ability to break down tasks and provide accurate time estimates;

• In-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities in developing multiplayer games.

• Highly motivated with a hands-on approach;

• Enthusiastic about contributing to a dynamic and growing company;

• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills.
